What skin boosters do
Skin boosters are injectable treatments that aim to improve skin quality — texture, fine lines, elasticity and hydration — rather than change the shape of your face. They are usually done as a course of sessions, and results build gradually.
The popular options
Rejuran Healer uses polynucleotides (PN) and is one of Korea's signature boosters. Juvelook combines PDLLA (a collagen-stimulating material) with hyaluronic acid, and is often chosen for pores and acne scarring. Sculptra is a longer-established PLLA collagen stimulator used more for volume and firmness. Exosome treatments are newer and regulation and evidence vary by country and product, so ask the clinic exactly what product they use and what evidence supports it.
Downtime and aftercare
Most boosters leave small raised bumps at the injection points that settle over a few days, plus possible bruising. Plan them early in your trip, keep the skin clean, and follow the clinic's aftercare instructions, which usually include avoiding saunas, alcohol and strong active skincare for a few days.
