Days one to three: rest first
The first days are for rest, clinic checks and following your aftercare instructions exactly. Stay close to the clinic, eat soft, low-salt meals, keep your head elevated if advised, and take short indoor walks to keep circulation moving. This is not the time for sightseeing.
Days four to seven: gentle outings
If your clinic agrees, many patients begin short, flat walks — a slow loop around a nearby park, a quiet café, or a pharmacy run for supplies. Korean pharmacies (look for the sign 약국) are easy to find and staff are used to helping visitors. Keep outings short and avoid crowds, heat and alcohol.
Week two: building back up
With your surgeon's approval, the second week can include longer walks, light shopping and calm neighbourhoods like Seongsu or the areas around Seoul Forest. Follow-up visits and any deswelling or aftercare sessions the clinic offers usually happen this week. Save anything strenuous for after you are cleared.
